Rocheyron is located in the commune of Saint-Christophe-des-Bardes, just 3 kilometers from the village of Saint-Emilion. Its nearest neighbor is Croix de Labrie.

This winery is a joint venture between Peter Sisseck (of Pingus) and Silvio Denz (of Lalique glass and Lafaurie Peyraguey), who acquired the vineyard in 2009. The first vintage they released was 2010.

The vineyard covers 8 hectares and is planted with 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc. The average age of the vines is 45 years.

Rocheyron produces a high-quality Saint-Emilion wine that has seen significant improvements over the years and is now characterized by its vibrancy, creaminess of fruit, and elegance.

2024 (barrel sample) 93p

Tasted in April 2025. 80% Merlot + 20% Cabernet Franc. It has a seductive nose of morello cherries, wild raspberries, and notes of violets. There are creamy berries on the delicate palate, with vibrancy, a fine mid-palate, smooth tannins, bright acidity, and a lingering finish. It's a superbly made wine.

2023 (barrel sample) 95p

Tasted in April 2025. It's highly aromatic and subtle on the nose, showing notes of black cherries and blueberries. It has a lively and vibrant character, with a delicate balance, great mid-palate, velvety tannins, and a persistent finish. This is an excellent effort indeed.

2022 96p

Tasted twice - last time in April 2025. Consistent notes. This wine has enough potential to become the best vintage ever produced at the property. It's a perfect blend of the best elements from the 2019 and 2020 vintages. Dense, juicy, powerful, wonderfully structured, and balanced, with a great mid-palate and a mega-long finish.

2021 93p

Tasted twice - last time in April 2025. Consistent notes. 60% Merlot + 40% Cabernet Franc. Aromatic raspberries and redcurrants, freshness and energy, fine complexity, structure and length, cool fruit and tannin, and a long aftertaste. It's understandably lighter than 2022, 2020, and 2019, but more elegant. Delicious mouthful.

2020 95-96p

Tasted twice - last time in April 2025. Consistent notes. 80% Merlot + 20% Cabernet Franc. Intense black fruit (blueberries and cherries) on the nose, dense, powerful, and vibrant on the palate with fine acidity, great midpalate, well-structured, and long aftertaste. Stupendous effort.

2019 94-95p

Tasted in October 2023. 70% Merlot + 30% Cabernet Franc. Spicy black fruit (blueberries and cherries) mixed with redcurrants and raspberries, splendid intensity, elegance, and finesse on the palate, vibrant with fine acidity, splendid midpalate, well structured, and long aftertaste. Excellent effort, indeed.

2018 La Fleur de Rocheyron 91-92p 

Tasted in October 2023. This vintage is exceptional across Bordeaux, and this wine proves that, offering everything you desire from a wine. Aromatic cherries and blueberries fill the creamy and juicy palate, complemented by a fine structure and a lingering finish. Seductive stuff.

2017 La Fleur de Rocheyron 90p

Tasted in October 2023. This wine is understandably lighter than the 2016 and 2018. It offers tasty black and red berries on the nose and a palate with lush fruit, soft texture, and a delicate aftertaste. Catchy wine.

2016 La Fleur de Rocheyron 91p

Tasted in October 2023. 100% Merlot. This is the second wine of Rocheyron. Juicy berries and soft tannins, sappy and lively. Aromatic cherries on the nose and fine acidity, structure, and length. Lingering aftertaste. Nice effort.
